ingrown toenail treatment

Relief designed around your nail

The Nail Lift System

A Nonsurgical Option for Incurvated and ingrowing Nails

Some toenails naturally curve inward, placing pressure on the skin even before the nail becomes severely ingrown. The NailLift system is a nonsurgical nail-correction system designed to gently lift the edges of an incurvated or excessively curved nail.

The system applies controlled tension to the nail plate, helping reduce pressure along the nail borders while guiding the nail toward a healthier shape as it grows.

Ingrown toenail procedure

For Severe, Recurrent, or Infected Ingrown Toenails

When an ingrown toenail is severely painful, infected, or repeatedly returns, an in-office procedure may provide more definitive relief. After numbing the toe with local anesthetic, the problematic portion of the nail—or, in selected cases, the entire nail—can be carefully removed.

Depending on your condition and history, treatment of the underlying nail root may also be discussed to reduce the likelihood that the painful nail border will grow back. We will explain the recommended procedure, aftercare, expected healing process, and available alternatives before treatment.

Medical Pedicures and Nail Care

For Mildly Ingrown or Tender Toenails

For mild cases, careful professional nail care may be enough to reduce pressure and improve comfort. A medical pedicure may include trimming and thinning the nail, gently clearing the affected nail border and addressing factors that may be contributing to irritation. It may also include reduction of calluses, exfoliation of dry skin and moisturizing.

We can also provide guidance on proper nail trimming, footwear, and at-home care to help protect the nail as it grows.
