Our Process

  • Conservative Care

Designed to reduce strain, support the foot, and improve mobility. Depending on your situation, your plan may include targeted stretching, bracing, supportive footwear, orthotics, activity modification, and topical pain-relief products.

  • Focused Support

If symptoms continue despite an appropriate trial of conservative care, additional treatment may be considered.

In selected cases, a steroid injection may be considered to provide temporary relief from pain and inflammation. The potential benefits, limitations, and risks will be discussed before treatment.

  • Advanced and Investigational options

When heel pain remains persistent, Dr. Carmignani may discuss whether an emerging regenerative medicine option could be considered as part of an individualized treatment plan.

WHAT SETS OUR APPROACH APART

We do not treat every painful heel the same way or immediately jump to an injection. We begin with a thorough evaluation, build care progressively, and monitor how you respond. If improvement is slower than expected, we reassess the diagnosis and adjust the plan rather than simply repeating the same treatment.

Don’t let heel pain become your new normal

Early treatment may help prevent heel pain from becoming more limiting. Whether your symptoms recently began or have persisted despite previous care, we can help identify the likely cause and develop an appropriate next step.

What type of appointment should I book?

Office Visit (30 Minutes): This appointment gives you 30 minutes with the doctor to discuss your situation, establish a diagnosis and go through all of your treatment options. The doctor will send prescriptions and/or order labs, if needed.

Injections are an additional cost. Please see our Pricing page for details.
